བདེ་སྡུག་མྱོང་བ་ཆུ་རིས་ལྟར་མྱོང་ཡང་།Joy and sorrow arise like ripples on water,
གདོད་ནས་མ་གྲུབ་ཆུ་ཟླའི་རང་བཞིན་ཡིན། Since beginning-less, they are inherently unformed, like a moon's reflection on water.

བསམ་གཞིག་བྲལ་བའི་སེམས་ཉིད་ནམ་མཁའ་ངོས། In the space of non-conceptual mind, སྣ་ཚོགས་གཡོ་བའི་ཀུན་རྟོག་ཆུ་འཛིན་འཁྲིགས།Diverse stirring thoughts gather like clouds. བླ་མའི་དྲིན་གྱིས་རྣམ་རྟོག་རང་ངོ་འཕྲོད།Through the guru's kindness, the essence of thoughts is realized. གང་ཤར་འཛིན་མེད་ཤེས་པའི་དོན་རྟོག་ཤོག། May I recognize whatever arises as being free from attachment.

འཇིག་རྟེན་སྲིད་པའི་ཕུན་ཚོགས་ཉམས་དགའ་ཡང་།The worldly pleasures of existence, though delightful,
ཡུད་ཙམ་གྱིས་ནི་འཇིགས་པའི་རང་བཞིན་ལས།Are fleeting and transient.
རྣམ་དཀར་ཞི་བདེའི་གོ་འཕང་དོན་གཉེར་ཞིང་།Seek the tranquil state of peace and virtue,
རང་གཞན་འཁོར་བའི་མཚོ་ལས་བསྒྲལ་བའི་སླད།And strive to liberate oneself and others from the ocean of samsara.
མཐའ་བྲལ་ཟབ་མོའི་དོན་ལ་འཇུག་པར་རིག། Thus, it is wise to engage with the profound meaning of the Middle Way (dharma).

རྒྱལ་བའི་འཕྲིན་ལས་མངའ་བདག་ཀརྨ་པ།The Karmapa, master of the Buddha's enlightened activities,
ཆུ་སྐྱེས་ཞབས་སོར་འཁོད་པའི་ཟིལ་མངར་ལས།With the sweet nectar of His lotus feet's arrival,
སྐྱེ་རྒུའི་ཡིད་ཀྱི་གདུང་སེལ་སིམ་པ་བསྐྱེད།Brings refreshment to dispel the afflictions of beings' minds.

དྲིན་ཅན་བླ་མའི་ཞབས་ལ་གུས་པད་འདུད།།With deepest reverence I bow at the feet of my gracious guru.

དཔྱད་ན་ཐོག་མཐའ་མེད་པའི་སེམས་ཉིད་འདི།Upon examining this mind that is beginningless or endless,ཕྲ་རག་གཡོ་བའི་རྣམ་རྟོག་བགྲངས་ཡས་ཀྱིས།Innumerable subtle, coarse and ever-moving thoughts,བདེ་སྡུག་ཆུ་བོའི་རྒྱུན་ལྟར་མྱོང་གྱུར་ན།Carried us through happiness and suffering like a ceaseless river's flow.ནམ་ཞིག་སེམས་ངོ་མཇལ་ན་ཅི་མ་རུང་། Oh what a relief when one meets the true face of the mind.
