7-19 November 2025 Bhutan (completed)

I will be traveling to Bhutan to attend the World Peace Prayer on 7 November 2025, by invitation of the Bhutanese government. 7 November 2025 - Travelled by air from Kathmandu, Nepal to Paro, Bhutan. The majestic Himalayan mountain range from the sky always left me in awe.

Drakarpo Temple is a sacred Buddhist site located on a cliffside in southern Paro, Bhutan. Legend says Guru Rinpoche stayed and meditated there for two months, splitting a rock to reveal an evil spirit, and the site contains numerous sacred spots, including his footprints.

25 February 2025 til 2 March 2025

On 25 Feb 2025, I drove from Kathmandu to Lumbini, Nepal, with my sangha (Khenpo and two lamas). We safely arrived in Lumbini in the evening. It was a smooth and pleasant drive. On 26 Feb, we reached Shravasti, India and met up with Maniwa Gyaltsen Lama Sherab Rinpoche and his sangha. We started our pilgrimage today in Shravasti.
The next day 27 Feb, we reached the border of India and Nepal around 1pm and had late lunch at 2pm back at Lumbini. Overall, it was a good pilgrimage with Sherab Rinpoche. Together, we made lots of prayers at many holy places.
