USA & Canada
Sharing photos of my travels to USA and Canada in July 2026
While in Toronto, I took the opportunity to visit Kampo Gangra Drubgyudling Buddhist Meditation Centre at 200 Balsam Avenue. Founded in 1973 by Lama Karma Thinley Rinpoche, the centre holds a special place in the Karma Kagyu tradition. It was visited several times by His Holiness the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa, Rangjung Rigpe Dorje, who stayed there for ten days in 1977, bestowed Vajra Crown ceremonies and initiations, and appointed Lama Karma Thinley Rinpoche as the centre's spiritual head. With deep affinity with the 16th Karmapa, visiting this historic centre was particularly meaningful to me, offering a tangible connection to his activities in North America.
Toronto summer picnic with family, friends and disciples, many of whom are from Pokhara, Nepal.
A family trip to Tobermory. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, walked around the harbour, and took in the clear blue waters. More than the destination itself, it was the chance to spend quality time together, sharing simple moments and creating memories that made the trip special.
On one of our drives, we unexpectedly came across a few deer. I only managed to snap a few blurry photos as they were fast animals! Even so, it was a memorable wildlife encounter and a reminder that some moments are best enjoyed in the moment rather than through a perfect picture. This was in Michigan, USA.
